Injured Manchev to miss Bulgaria qualifier with Croatia Levante striker Vladimir Manchev is doubtful for Bulgaria's FIFA World Cup qualifier at home to Group Eight leaders Croatia on Saturday.
Manchev injured his left knee during Levante's 4-1 defeat by Villarreal in the Spanish Primera Liga on Sunday that saw them relegated and will undergo medical checks in Sofia on Tuesday.
"I think I have no chance to play against Croatia," the striker told reporters in Sofia on Monday.
He did not join the Bulgarian squad for their training session and watched from the stands.
Third-placed Bulgaria have eight points from five World Cup qualifiers. They are five points adrift of Croatia and four behind second-placed Sweden.
