::Politics-Nasty and scared John Howard John called the election.
Let me explain to you why I think he is a cunning politician.
He left the call so late so that those who have turned 18 this or last year have to enroll by this Wednesday! And of course all the pollsters are telling us that the younger voters will most likely not vote for John.
Can you let everyone you know who is young, to register to vote by downloading a form here http://www.aec.gov.au/Enrolling_to_vote/ or by calling the electoral commission.

as far as i'm aware it wouldn't have mattered when John Howard called the election, people who turned 18 recently would have had the same amount of time to enrol to vote. there has actually been adds all year that the law was changed and you had to enrol to vote by the time the election was called to be eligible to vote.

I was under the impression that gen y tend to be quite loyal to established authority figures and John Howard seems to fit that description given he's been in office for quite a while, and there really doesn't seem to be that much that would stand out as affecting them personally as reason to vote against him. Your post is causing me to question gen y research in general.
I dunno, maybe I'm misunderstanding something here, but am definitely interested in looking at the polls. Thanks for your help!
